Luci Stone ordered this cake for her parents' 60th anniversary - but I put it in my wedding cakes album instead. Sixty years ago, when Luci's father first met Luci's mother, Luci's father gave Luci's mother a dozen red roses on three separate occasions before Luci's father was allowed to court Luci's mother. Such a nice story!

This wedding cake served 150 people. It was half red velvet and half vanilla cake with real italian buttercream. The sides of each tier were decorated with edible lily of the valley floral sprays made out of royal icing.

Terri Scollan ordered this cake for her daughter's high school graduation party located in Auburn, NY, but is it beautiful enough to be a wedding cake. Brocade is a type of fabric that has a raised design or 3-dimensional design such that you can feel the design when you touch the fabric. This cake, with all the edible, gumpaste cherry blossoms, looks like an Asian Brocade theme, and in the cake world, we therefore call it a brocade!

Three tiered wedding cake for Letchworth Park wedding. Bottom tier is 12 inches, middle tier is 9 inches, top tier is 6 inches. All decorations are edible. Bride and groom stood 12 inches tall. Bride is hold her bouquet behind her back and leaning over kissing groom.

This wedding cake was designed by the bride, Catherine Moehle. Her mother is Linda Rice. The bride had textured fondant over each of the four tiers and then the tiers were dusted with forest green petal dust diluted with a little cornstarch. The end result was a look of a rich brocade. The white dogwoods provided a contrast to the rich green.
